Tilburg Investment Club is a student-led organization at Tilburg University that bridges the gap between academic finance and professional investment practice.
Finance courses teach students the theory. TIC teaches them how to apply it. Our members don't just read about portfolio construction — they build portfolios. They don't just study valuation methods — they pitch stocks to real investment professionals.
We believe the best way to learn investing is to do it. That means making mistakes in a safe, supportive environment, getting rigorous peer feedback, and iterating until your analysis is genuinely compelling.
Every semester, our members produce research, develop quantitative strategies, and present investment theses that would hold up in a professional setting. That's the TIC standard.
Develop real investment skills through hands-on research, modelling, and strategy development.
Build a network of ambitious peers, mentors, alumni, and industry professionals.
Leave TIC as a more analytical, confident, and career-ready finance professional.
The principles that shape every team meeting, every stock pitch, and every interaction at TIC.
We challenge assumptions, cite evidence, and hold each other to a high analytical standard.
We win as a team. Knowledge sharing and peer mentorship are core to how we operate.
We ask "why?" before we ask "what?" — curiosity drives the best investment ideas.
We invest in our members' development for the long run, not just their next internship.
TIC is founded by a group of Tilburg University finance students who wanted a more practical complement to their academic studies.
The quant team is formally established, introducing data-driven and algorithmic investment approaches to the club.
TIC reaches 50 active members and formalizes its first cohort of industry partners, enabling company visits and guest lectures.
The Fundamentals Department expands to cover all eight major GICS sectors, providing full market coverage for sector analysis.
TIC continues to grow, with a thriving alumni network, expanded partner ecosystem, and new research publications.
Our members produce genuine investment analysis — the same kind of work done by professionals at banks and asset managers.
Every pitch is stress-tested by your peers. It's rigorous, but it's how you actually improve.
Our partner network connects you with professionals at leading financial institutions for mentoring, internships, and careers.
The TIC alumni network spans firms across Europe. The relationships you build here follow you throughout your career.
Our board members are elected annually from within the club and lead TIC's operations, departments, and partnerships.
